To Die a Dozen Deaths-Jerry Grandenetti/Wallace Wood-1970

Grandenetti--one of the great impressionistic comics artists, meets Wally Wood, the smoothest inker ever. Makes for an odd combination but both men came to the field in the wake of Will Eisner so not so unusual at all, really.

Fascinating combination. I'm not certain I can label it a success as the crispness of Grandenetti is lost in the lush Wood inks, but still dandy. Grandenetti is on my list of most underrated talents, arguably the best ghost story artist ever.
