Sailor Sweeney-Syd Shores-1956

I've always enjoyed the solid draftsmanship of Syd Shores. Here we see him in an inconsequential early Code-approved comic using some wonderful facial expressions. Note also that his style has made a great leap since his CAPTAIN AMERICA work of just a few years earlier.

Strange, I've also enjoyed Shores' art but until now I'd never noticed stylistic similarities between him and Harry Anderson. In this case the women, the young men, and some of the posing (like in the splash) remind me of Anderson.
